Frequently Asked Questions

Is Community Clinic ‘free’ or is it a ‘walk-in’ clinic?

Community Clinic is not an ER, walk-in or free clinic. Community Clinic accepts appointments for our full-service medical & dental clinics. We are a non-profit taking care of our community’s unmet medical and dental needs.

What about me? I’m uninsured!

Anyone can receive services at Community Clinic. No one is turned away, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay on the day of the visit. If you don’t have health insurance you pay what you can afford, based on your income and your household size.

We ask you to bring proof of income and those at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify for a sliding fee discount. We accept ARKids 1st, Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, and have on-site staff to help you apply for ARKids 1st and Medicaid, if you (or your kids) qualify. We believe that everyone deserves healthcare; make an appointment today!

What do I need to bring with me to my first appointment?

We ask you to bring proof of income and those at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify for a sliding fee discount. We accept ARKids 1st, Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, and have on-site staff to help you apply for ARKids 1st and Medicaid, if you (or your kids) qualify.

How do I use the gift gallery?

Once you have found a gift in the gallery that is meaningful to you, scroll down to the bottom of the product page. Designate the donation amount you would like to contribute, and select “buy now”.

The next screen that appears will be a PayPal secure transaction page. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can pay as a guest by simply entering your credit or debit card information.

After the checkout process is complete, a thank you page with instructions on how to request a tax receipt or download a holiday e-card will appear.

Can I donate physical items to Community Clinic?

Because Community Clinic strives to provide high-quality preventive and medical care easily accessible to our patients, it is usually our policy not to accept physical gifts directly. However, there are exceptions. If you have in-kind donations you would like us to consider for donation, please contact us by email here.

Does my gift gallery donation really go toward the purchase of supplies and services?

Gifts made through Community Clinic’s gift catalog represent a gift to the entire mission, to help more people lead healthy lives by providing healthcare to all in Northwest Arkansas.

If you designate a specific Community Clinic site, we ensure that your gift will be used at that location. We then use your gifts where they can do the most good, by combining them with the gifts of others to help reach more families with quality medical and dental care.
